Sleep disorders in Children
A child with a collapsed nasal or oral airway may show one or several of the following signs of sleep disordered breathing.
- Abnormal sleeping position – head off the bed or propped up on pillows
- Snoring loudly and often
- Frequent nightime waking
- Difficulty concentrating and poor school performance
- Bluish circles under the eyes
- Bed wetting
- Teeth grinding
- Difficult to wake even after plenty of sleep
- Lack of energy during the day
