dental implants

What is a dental Implant?

A dental implant is the closest solution to a natural tooth that a dentist can offer.  Dental implants are a permanent option to replace missing teeth.

Dental implants are usually made of titanium.  They are placed in your jaw bone to replicate the root of the tooth.  A crown is attached to the top of the implant to replicate this missing tooth structure.

Assuming the implant is correctly placed, and well looked after, it can be expected to last a lifetime in the right candidate.

As with any dental treatment, there is a risk of failure.  At NHD we provide an extensive consultation to assess if a dental implant is the best option for you.
