children

We like to encourage children to have their first dental check up at the age of 3. Not only does this create familiarity and confidence with a dental environment but it gives us the opportunity to identify any early dental problems.  We go to great lengths to create a nurturing environment in which children can feel safe and comfortable.  We believe that establishing healthy attitude toward dental treatment and oral hygiene in  the formative years is plays a big part in ensuring ongoing dental health and a beautiful smile.

Some examples of problems behaviours and habits that can affect the growth and development of the jaws and teeth are:

  • Snoring
  • Mouth breathing
  • Thumb sucking and pacifier use
  • Bed wetting
  • Poor sleep patterns
